step into spring with pleasant news from the preparations of our festival. In today´s newsletter, you will find out which embassies and foreign cultural representations will support us this year, join the worldwide celebrations of REMA Early Music Day and find out what “Dantedi” is and why Concentus Moraviae joins it.

We are very pleased to welcome foreign represetatives among the partners of the 26th year: the Representation of the Flemish Government is already a traditional festival ally, thanks to whose generous support we will welcome not only the main dramaturg Jelle Dierickx, but also four wonderful programs from Flanders. Once again, the Austrian Cultural Forum, the Spanish Embassy, the French Institute in Prague and the Italian Cultural Institute did not hesitate to support their compatriots included in the program of this year’s festival.

From France and Italy coming to us two more beautiful events: On March 21 we will celebrate the ninth Early Music Day initiated by the REMA European Early Music Network. Our festival also belongs to this network.
Here you can choose from more than 150 registered online concerts from all over the world.



March 25 is the day of Dante Alighieri (so-called Dantedì). This date was identified by scientists as the beginning of the etherial journey described in the Divine Comedy. This year our festival will also commemorate 700 years of Dante’s death, with the project Purgatio of the vocal duo KCHUN, in which you will hear snatches from the immortal Divine Comedy performed by Vladimír Javorský.
